Carson's birthday started with me calling in at 3am to see if they had room for me at the hospital for the induction. I was told to call back at 4am and then at 4am was told to come in at 6am. Do they think someone that is 9 months pregnant and about to go into labor doesn't need their sleep? Hello???!!! Not like I was sleeping comfortable anyway so why not just keep me awake all night calling in. So, we went in at 6am to get signed in and prepped. 7:30am they broke my water. About two hours in I begged for an epidural because the contractions were very sharp and sudden and let's be honest I really didn't want to have another birth without an epidural so they gave me pitocin and an epidural and 1/2 hour after the epidural it finally worked on both sides of my body and they checked me and I had gone from a 5 to 10 in that 1/2 hour. I love epidurals. So, Carson was born at 11:11am with maybe 15 minutes of pushing. I'm so glad my doctor induced me. Can you imagine if we let this kid just keep growin how big he would have gotten?
He was 9lbs 6oz and 21 1/2 inches long.
