Gingerbread Houses!

Brent glued these together and the boys were super excited to get started! Gotta love those pre-made Costco kits!

Christmas Tree Hunting

We started a new tradition of hunting for our Christmas Tree last year. Prior years in VA it was too cold to take babies out looking so we were always getting the tree at Home Depot and it just carried over to be tradition here in CA. Last year a friend (thanks Andrea!) mentioned Davis Ranch that had a cut your own Christmas Tree farm. SCORE because it is only like 10 minutes away! (One benefit of living in the boonies.) Here are all 5 of my boyz discussing the tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. (Another tradition I am trying to do is get our tree earlier so we don't have to try and find time in December to get it.) It wasn't the cutest tree, but it was tall, so da boyz voted to get it and try and trim some of it's crazy branches at home.

Decision made. Brent is 6ft 1in tall. So, how tall does the tree look to you?

Trevor is old enough and tall enough to hold the tree while daddy cuts it down. Makes it easier for me!

Benefits of having a strong husband. I can just carry the baby and the camera and take pictures of him when he isn't looking.

Thanksgiving 08'

We met up with Brent's family in Redwood City this year to enjoy Thanksgiving. A few years ago we started doing a turkey in the oven and a fried turkey. Uncle Gerald is pulling out the fried turkey. I had fun teasing him that he burned it because of the black skin.

Aunt Erin has beautiful dishes. Makes for a beautiful table.

Everyone is good about helping Grandma Petersen in the kitchen.

What is Thanksgiving without football? Not sure the Uncles or Trevor could survive if they couldn't watch it.

Feasting...

And more feasting...

Cousins feasting...

And of course Ethan (Aunt Lindsay's boyfriend) enjoying the after Turkey consumption nap! Hopefully he still speaks to me after this!

Yes, I realize I am not in the pictures. We took family pictures the next day so I will post those when I get them. Proof that I exist.
