Horeseback Riding

Cade went to a visit day at the preschool he will go to this coming fall. They did swimming lessons and horseback riding as part of their fun summer schedule. Cade loved the horses and smiled the whole time!

Afterwards he stayed with the horse to go get him water and back to the stable area.

He had so much fun he can't wait to go back!

Boating with friends

We got invited by some friends to go boating on Saturday. We had so much fun! Here are the boys coming back after tubing.

We all went out on a boat ride. You would think MAYBE all the "look at mommy!" and "smile for mommy!" and "PLEASE look at me" would get at least ONE person to look at me? Apparently NOT!

What does it take?

Seriously people!

Brent's still got it!

My white trash baby hanging out in his diaper.

I did get to go on double skis, but don't have pictures of that. I wasn't brave enough to try wake boarding again. I've only tried that once and I only got up for a few seconds.
Thanks Christensen's! We had fun!

Water!

Cade has been begging to take Trevor and Ethan to the "park where the water comes out of the holes" since his preschool party in May. We have been so busy that we haven't made it there until last Friday. It was shut down for maintenance, but luckily it gave directions to a new "park where the water comes out of the holes" that we hadn't been to yet so Cade was happy.
Carson loved these little ones.

Cade liked the ones his size.

Ethan doing a silly walk.

Brothers playing all together.

Brothers pretending to be dinosaurs.

More playing with brothers.

Trevor and Carson having fun with the "little ones."

We can't get enough of water when it is so hot. Fun in the SUN!

Cade's 4th-Birthday that is!

Cade turned 4 right after the 4th of July. His birthday morning he was surprised by a train table and more train stuff to play with. He is trying not to smile again here.

Smiling behind his new train table.

Loving his birthday breakfast donuts!

Carson really liked the donuts. Don't think we have let him eat these yet.

Cade wanted to go for a bike ride to the park after breakfast. Trevor forgot his basketball and so he decided to entertain himself in Carson's stroller.

He was cracking me up sitting and wheeling himself around in this on the basketball court. Most people see the serious side of him and don't realize he can be pretty goofy.

Cade giving me 4.

Such a big boy. Where did my baby go?

Trevor and Ethan goofing around on the big climbing rock.

More goofing around.

In the afternoon we had Cade's birthday party. Trevor was a good sport and let the 4 year olds chase him with water guns for one of the games.

Trevor was also the target for water balloon tossing!

The boys ready to soak Trevor.

Water balloon tossing to your teammate didn't go real well. Most of the boys couldn't throw to their partner or catch, but they laughed and kept trying anyway.

Lineing up for a picture.

Opening up presents on the trampoline.

Trampoline water gun fight!

Running around the yard.

Singing happy birthday to Cade.

I realized as they were singing that everyone had turned 4 except Cade so he was the baby of this group. I told them all to hold up the 4!

Enjoying cupcakes.

Cade ended the day with his favorite dinner, In-N-Out Burger with the family. This kid doesn't know what McDonalds is and that is fine with me! Happy Birthday Mr. 4 year old! I love you!

Fabulous 4th of July!

We spent the 3rd and 4th with grandpa Paul and grandma Jenny. On the 3rd grandma spoiled Cade with cupcakes as an early birthday surprise. We were singing to Cade and he got embarrassed and tried to hide his smile.

He loved his cousins and local family singing to him. It seemed like forever that he was WAITING for his birthday so he could finally be 4!

Grandma thought it would be a good idea to beat up Sponge Bob since he is such a bad example.

Carson loved watching Sponge Bob get beat! And of course he loved climbing daddy too.

Grandma and Grandpa wanted to install a flag pole on their property so 4th of July was a great opportunity to do that and involve the grandkids. They are helping to put rocks over the cement base here.

Grandkids carrying the flag pole to the base. You have to pull your own weight in this family.

Raising the flag!

And finally a parade to patriotic music.

We have to spend some time on the river with such warm weather!
You will raft and you will like it!

Finally life jacket is on. So cute.

Siblings ready to raft! These are my "local" siblings. My little brother Kyle and my little sister Nicole. They will always be little to me even though they are tall now.

Carson and grandpa Paul. How precious is this?

So here we are leaving the property and even though the water is shallow and we aren't moving fast, grandma is so excited to wave for a picture that she loses her balance when we bump a small rock. You would think this was her first time on the river!

Brent kayaking with Ethan and Cade. If you look closely you can see Ethan is "armed" to water fight people on the river.

Trevor likes to go in his own kayak.

We played lots of games. This is Ethan with Uncle Kyle holding his legs.

Daddy loves to throw babies although he is more cautious these days and rarely throws them really high now.

Cousins playing soccer on the volleyball court. (Adults and Adia played volleyball after this and had a blast-except that Carson decided mommy couldn't play as long as everyone else.)

Can you just see the exhaustion from playing goalie?

One of Trevor's favorite things to do. Basketball.

Carson used to scream to get out of the stroller or our arms at the boys basketball games in January and February. Every time he sees a basketball he picks it up and drops it. His version of dribbling I think.

What a great weekend to spend with family and celebrate our great country. Thanks for a great weekend grandma and grandpa!
