Cade's preschool party

Cade's end of year party for preschool was a barbecue at the park. Since summer is 3/4 of the year in Sacramento it was PLENTY HOT for playing in the water feature. Carson thought about it...

Thought about it some more...

Ane more...

He finally wandered in and got pretty wet. What a cutie!

Cade on the other hand thought he was Kung Fu Panda.

He was karate chopping the water from every angle possible.

I'm not really sure if he won or not, but he did this for 20 minutes straight.

My husband-the goofball

Brent has never been one to volunteer to be in the spotlight. The man is not afraid of public speaking, but does not like to be goofy in front of other people-explain that? So, when he asked me to be his partner in the pie eating contest at our ward elders quorum party I laughed because I thought he was joking. Well, he found a friend to do it with him and ended up with food up his nose, so I am glad I didn't do it!!!! Go Brent! Doesn't he remind you of Santa?

Ethan's Goal Setting award

I remembered my camera! I have forgotten the last couple times at awards ceremony's. Here is Ethan with other first graders getting their Goal Setting awards. Yea Ethan!

BYU Women's Conference

At the end of April I joined my sisters and mom (minus a couple sisters-mised you Gina and Cindi!) at BYU Women's Conference. I really enjoyed the time to ponder, think, reflect, and be uplifted and of course to be with family. Thanks Leah and Mom for making this happen! (From left to right in case some of you haven't seen these girls for awhile, mom, Leah, Nicole, me, Jill, and Terri.)

It was extra special to see my grandma, aunt, and cousin there too!

Wicked!

Last year a friend of mine put the word out that she wanted to go to Wicked in San Fran as a group and get a discount. We ended up with something like 40 people last month from church all going down together. We had a great time! We carpooled with some friends...

And went to dinner with half the group. I think the other half were tired from the drive. :)

Magic!

Ethan really wanted to participate in the ward talent show last month. He kept begging me to sign him up. I asked if he wanted to sing or something and he responded that he wanted to do his magic tricks. Brent helped him rehearse a routine and he remembered the whole thing. He wasn't even nervous until right before he went on, but you couldn't tell because of his natural stage presence. He definitely loves the spotlight and is a natural performer. I've been trying (or I should say Brent has been trying) to get the video recording off our video camera and haven't been able to yet. So, if I get it to work I'll post it soon.

Spelling Bee

Trevor was in the second grade spelling bee last month. They competed in their own class first and if they were in the top two they went to the whole second grade spelling bee. Here are the contestants. Trevor did great. He didn't win, but had fun competing. Trevor? Have fun competing?

Here he is with his good friend Josh. They are the top two from his class.
