We started a new tradition of hunting for our Christmas Tree last year. Prior years in VA it was too cold to take babies out looking so we were always getting the tree at Home Depot and it just carried over to be tradition here in CA. Last year a friend (thanks Andrea!) mentioned Davis Ranch that had a cut your own Christmas Tree farm. SCORE because it is only like 10 minutes away! (One benefit of living in the boonies.) Here are all 5 of my boyz discussing the tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. (Another tradition I am trying to do is get our tree earlier so we don't have to try and find time in December to get it.) It wasn't the cutest tree, but it was tall, so da boyz voted to get it and try and trim some of it's crazy branches at home.
Decision made. Brent is 6ft 1in tall. So, how tall does the tree look to you?
Trevor is old enough and tall enough to hold the tree while daddy cuts it down. Makes it easier for me!
Benefits of having a strong husband. I can just carry the baby and the camera and take pictures of him when he isn't looking.

that's so cute! one day we will do something like that i hope!
I told Ryan last year that if we were going to get an artificial tree, we better do it early so the kids don't freak out about not having a real one.
Our tradition is getting it down from the attic and out of the box. :)
Yay - Rochelle is back! Looks like you are having a fun beginning to the holidays.
We have always done a fake tree. We ALMOST went this year to "Christmas Tree Hunt." Maybe next year!
Macho man! It really is a fun tradition, even if you get dirty :) Can't wait to see you guys in just a couple of days!
