New Years Eve we played all day at grandma and grandpas house with Aunt Leah and her family, aunt Nicole and Uncle Ty and aunt Christi were still there too.
Cade always wants to play games. Uncle Ty and aunt Christi were so sweet to play with him. (Christi was not feeling good, but put on good smiles for the camera.)
Trevor shared his new MP3 player with uncle Rick and cousin Lexi.
Ethan loves his new MP3 player. Mom loves that he does laundry happily now while he listens, but hates that she has to talk really loud to get his attention. Mom had to limit how much he was allowed to listen to it!
Grandpa Paul and grandma Jenny got knives for Christmas from our family and aunt Leah's. Poor grandpa cut himself the first time he used them. We decided we needed to teach him how to use knives or get him less dangerous presents in the future.
Silly sistas.
Brent and I went to chaperone the youth dance at church. It is the anniversary of when we met and started dating-wait for it...17 years ago! Brent spent the night out on the curb assesing youth wardrobe before their rides left and I spent it inside helping guys find a tie and girls find longer skirts before they were allowed entrance. (I think I helped 25 girls and 2 boys-made me glad I have sons because their clothes are so much simpler!) We did get to dance the last half hour and chase girls around telling them to pull their skirts down to the appropriate knee length on the dance floor. It helps that I am super tall, especially with tall heels on so I can see A LOT on the dance floor. All in all I was really impressed with the youth. Most of them really try hard to do the right thing and I was glad to help provide a safe place they could come and celebrate with their friends.
While we were partying with the youth, our boys partied with the family. Da boyz got to ring in the New Year with New York on t.v. and play outside with "snaps" and "pops."
New Years day we played LOTS of games and ate LOTS of food and relaxed A LOT with family! So fun!
Happy 2011!

Cool...I stole some of your pix & replaced them with the ones I had because you had a better angle. :) Happy New Year!
can't believe it's been 17 years since you two met. i totally remember that!
That's a busy New Year! Wish we could have been there too. Love the pic of Nicole in the silly picture!
Looks like a great time. Wish we could have been there. Miss you and your sweet family!
Your family looks like so much fun!! 17 years...you guys must really love each other:)
ou know you two met just 2 years before Kyle and I did. Yes, you got married way before us but Kyle and I went to our first church dance when I was 14 (and it was a New Years Eve one). None of the chaperones back then were as HOT as you! But I would have been one of the girls who needed a longer skirt for sure. :)
How fun to have so much family to spend time with for the holidays. So, the youth dance we chaperoned.....why was I the only one who had a skirt that was a little too short? hahahahaha. Someone started to come and talk to me, but then they realized I was an old lady, hahahaha!
17 years......time flies doesn't it?
You and your sisters are so beautiful. Looks like you have a fabulous & super fun family!
How fun, always good times with the Middleton family.
I was just looking through old photos and saw one of you and Brent - it said Rochelle and her boyfriend - where has time gone!
Love the intense game with Carson and Keira. That picture is a keeper. Good times were had by all.
Did you ever think that 17 years ago you would be doing what you were doing? Amazing sometimes isn't it. You were in a good place, doing a good thing. Glad you got to dance too.
Your family is so fun! Ethan looks so much older, especially in the pic holding that MP3 player. Guess what? This last October marked the 13 year anniversary of when Trav and I met:)
