Ethan! Spirit!

Ethan decided to run for student council. The only position third graders can run for is the Spirit position which means you need to get kids to clap and cheer at assemblies, attend meetings with other members of the student council, promote spirit days etc. After winning his classroom election he prepared and gave a speech in front of 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. (He also ran against kids in all these grades.) HE LOVES THIS STUFF! I was nervous as he gave his speech that he might freeze up or get nervous. NOT THIS KID! He amazes me with how much he LOVES to be in front of a crowd.
Waiting for speeches to begin...

 

Here he is waiting as a late class arrived. He was already up at the microphone when they walked in and waited patiently and didn't get ruffled or anything as he waited for them to sit down.

 

After he finished his official part of his speech he said. "I would love to see how much spirit you have! The best way to do that is to make some noise! So, if you are on this side of the room, you say Ethan and if you are on this side of the room you say Spirit!" Then he pointed at the sides and they cheered right along with him 3 times yelling, "Ethan! Spirit!" It turned out great and he was beaming.

 

The next day we found out he won and he was on top of the world! Congratulations ETHAN! We are so proud of you!
